Corker, Snowe, Collins vote against McCain

Friday, April 3rd, 2009

So it comes as no surprise that, despite being Republicans, Snowe and Collins have gone Communist.  The vast majority of voters in Maine are Communists and for them to retain their seats in the senate, they have to act like Democrats.

Corker is supposed to be one of the senators from Tennessee.  Tennessee is not a Communist country like Maine.  Tennessee is the Red State (and that’s not Communist red). Tennessee holds the distinction of being the only U.S. state to elect a new Republican to both houses of Congress in the 2006 mid-term elections.

Corker has become so high on the TV face time that he’s been getting that he has forgotten where he’s from.  He now thinks that he’s a big celebrity and big celebrities are Communists.

Wonder what the voters from Tennessee will do when the 2012 elections roll around.  If he hasn’t been recalled before then, he’ll wind up like David Davis.

Should You Pay For Me If… (Note From Lars)

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

Well Friends, ol’ Lars is fired up! He Who Must Not Be Named and his faithful sidekick Shinseki (nka Wormtail) want private health insurance programs to pay for treatment provided by the VA for service-connected medical conditions.

This is outrageous!

The VA already bills “Third party” payors (i.e. private health insurance) millions of dollars a year that they shouldn’t. Most notably in that amount is charges to private insurance for prescription medication that is supposed to be paid for by the VA. Veterans exposed to ionizing radiation and environmental contaminants while in-service are supposed to receive free medication for conditions that may be related to those exposures. Problem is, nobody in VA or the third party payors knows that. So the VA bills these insurance companies millions every year and they just keep on paying. Primarily because they don’t want to get in trouble with The Gubmint.

Why should you care?

Hang on, Lars’ll tell ya. You should care because those insurance companies are passing that cost on to you!

Whenever the VA bills the insurance company, the insurance company turns right around and increases your premiums. The end result is that you are paying for what the VA (gubmint) should be paying for. Very few people believe that they don’t pay enough taxes, and it is the taxes that we pay that should be funding our defense costs. Included in those defense costs should be gubmint funded health care for people who were injured in-service (service- connected conditions).

Congress enables VA to continue this practice by way of the Medical Care Cost Recovery Program (MCCR). The VA is giddy about the program because they can spend the money they collect any way they want to. Therefore, by expanding the program to include charging private insurance companies for service-connected conditions, they can increase the collections at least ten-fold. They can then use that money to buy fine leather portfolios, and pay big fat bonuses, for the chronic underperformers at the highest echelons of the bloated bureaucracy.

This isn’t the CHANGE we were promised friends. This is more of the same, only worse. This is a step in the wrong direction and unless something drastic is done they are going to get away with it.

Now is the time to STOP THE MADNESS! Tell congress NO. Tell the Administration NO. Tell them that it is the responsibility of government, not the private sector, to bear the cost burden of providing health care to Veterans who were injured in-service.

The B.O. Republicans who voted for Geithner

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

Michelle Malkin provides us with this list of Republican senators who voted FOR Timothy Franz (call me Tim) Geithner.

Corker (R-TN)
Cornyn (R-TX)
Crapo (R-ID)
Ensign (R-NV)
Graham (R-SC)
Gregg (R-NH)
Hatch (R-UT)
Shelby (R-AL)
Snowe (R-ME)
Voinovich (R-OH)

We’re not surprised that Robert Phillips (call me Bob) Corker, Jr. voted for Geithner.  He has proven to be less interested in doing what Tennesseans hired him to do, represent us in congress, and more inclined to do what is best for Bob.

Another Republican from Tennessee recently did the same thing.  David Davis was elected to the House of Representatives in 2006 and was defeated in the 2008 primary.

Given the strong showing by Democrat Harold Ford in the last senate class I election (Corker only won by 2.7%, compared to a 33% margin of victory for Lamar Alexander in the 2008 election), it is logical to assume that Corker is playing politics to win support from those Ford voters; However, by doing so he is disenchanting conservative voters in Tennessee.

Had Corker and his ilk been willing to stand up for what’s right, we wouldn’t now have a Treasury Secretary who likes to cheat on paying his taxes.

Given that Corker likes to cheat on his business conflicts of interest, he may have made a deal with Geithner to get in on the action.

I’m Sorry

Tuesday, December 9th, 2008

To all of the good citizens of Illinois, I apologize.  I voted for Rod Blagojevich for Governor in 2002.  In my defense, he did promise ethics reform.  I realize now that the kind of reform he was going to do to ethics included selling the open US Senate Illinois seat to the highest bidder.

Civil Defense Corps

Friday, November 14th, 2008

He Who Must Not Be Named has made it clear, as has his Chief of Staff, Peter Pettigrew, that there will be a Civil Defense Force and will include conscripted service for all residents 18-25 years old.  Here is a glimpse if what that Civil Defense Force will look like.

Is This Same Thing Happening To Your Grade School Student?

This video shows a grade school teacher, Diantha Harris, bullying a student who said she supported The McCain.

Message From A Moderate

Thursday, November 6th, 2008

People who claimed to be solidly behind The McCain are now tripping over themselves to blame The McCain for the defeat.

How pathetic is that?  Pretty pathetic.  Millions of so-called conservatives stayed home, voted for the democrat, or voted third party, and that’s why the democrat was handed the election.  He darn sure didn’t win it.

The McCain said the failure was his.  I strongly disagree.  The failure was the people who wanted to punish The McCain for not being conservative enough.

We’ll never know how many people chose to accept the democrat rather than vote for The McCain, but it is plenty clear to me that it could have, should have, would have, turned out different if those conservatives would have stood up and got behind the GOP ticket.  The same people who spread some of the most vile rumors about The McCain in 2000 were the same people in 2008 that wanted to punish the party for selecting a moderate.

Well, you got your way.  You got what you wanted.  I hope you’ll be happy with the orgy of excess that will start on January 3rd 2009.

The McCain has more integrity in his little finger than you hypocrites have in your entire being.

Obama Aunt Illegal Alien

Saturday, November 1st, 2008

The AP (remarkably) is reporting that Obama’s aunt in Boston has been an illegal alien for at least four years.

She has also illegally contributed money to the Obama campaign.

Story here.

Is Obama, the lawyer, complicit?  We believe he is.  What’s the penalty for that?  Who is going to arrest him?

What Is This “Payroll Tax” Thing That The Messiah Is Rhetoricating About?

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

One of the things that gets me is that Obama wants to eliminate “any” tax burden from at least 40% of the population.  I am catastrophically disabled and receive Social Security.  I got that benefit by paying an insurance premium for 30 years.  That insurance premium is known as FICA.  Obama calls it “payroll taxes”.  My employers paid into that premium fund right alongside me.  Now Obama wants to completely eliminate Income Tax on at least 40%, he also wants the other 60% (YOU) to pay their insurance premiums.  Don’t be fooled by the rhetoric.  This is the kind of policy Karl Marx fought his whole life for.  I don’t care if you call it socialist, Marxist, or “Spreading the Wealth Around”, it is what it is.

The Billion Dollar Man

Saturday, October 25th, 2008

Obama has raised nearly a billion dollars in campaign contributions.  Unprecedented to be sure; However, where is all this money coming from?

People who have never given to a politician ever are suddenly finding charges to their credit cards of $2,300.00 to the Obama campaign.

The Federal Election Commission has identified “small donors” to Obama’s campaign with names like  “Good Will” who listed his employer as “Loving” and his occupation as “You”.

Another “small donor” listed their name as “Doodad Pro” of Nunda, N.Y., who gave at least $17,130 in small increments.

I’ll bet that half of his money is fraudulant.  And that is an incredibly sad thing.

A Newsmax article states in part: “A Newsmax analysis of the Obama campaign’s campaign finance disclosures found 60,000 donations in unrounded amounts that fundraising experts said clearly suggested were “foreign currency transactions” translated into U.S. dollars.”

Which Obama Supporters Are Guilty? (Ohio Democrats Delivering the State to Obama)

Saturday, October 25th, 2008

*Edited on 28/10/08 to add that at least one Obama supporter is guilty.  The Ohio Director of Child Support Enforcement, Helen Jones-Kelley, a Democrat who has maxed out ($2,300.00) in contributions to Obama, authorized her department to use their computers to dig up dirt on Joe Wurzelbacher.  Story here.*

An article from The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch reports that an investigation is underway over illelgal access to government computers looking for information on Joe Wurzelbacher.  They will no doubt drag the investigation out until after the election so it won’t look bad for Obama.

From the article:  “It has not been determined who checked on Wurzelbacher, or why. Direct access to driver’s license and vehicle registration information from BMV computers is restricted to legitimate law enforcement and government business.”

It really is hard for me to comprehend why so many people would work so hard to destroy someone.  Joe Wurzelbacher should be held up as an American HERO.  Instead, it’s the Ivy League educated lawyer who they hold up as the hero and Joe is pilloried.

That doesn’t happen in my America.  In my America Joe is the hero and the corrupt politician is the criminal.

Charles Krauthammer Article

Friday, October 24th, 2008

From RCP:

*Edited to add: Please go read the entire article when you have time. Thank you.”

While I’m loathe to pay much attention to pundits, I think this article is great.  This line, buried in the middle, is one that particularly stands out to me:

“McCain’s critics are offended that he raised the issue of William Ayers. What’s astonishing is that Obama was himself not offended by William Ayers.”

In a recent interview Sarah Palin opined that we should be thinking less about the question of why would Obama be attracted to Ayers and his ilk, and thinking more about why Ayers and his ilk are drawn to Obama.

And just one more thing from Krauthammer’s article:

“Who do you want answering that phone at 3 a.m.? A man who’s been cramming on these issues for the last year, who’s never had to make an executive decision affecting so much as a city, let alone the world? A foreign policy novice instinctively inclined to the flabbiest, most vaporous multilateralism (e.g., the Berlin Wall came down because of “a world that stands as one”), and who refers to the most deliberate act of war since Pearl Harbor as “the tragedy of 9/11,” a term more appropriate for a bus accident?”

The USA is an exceptional nation.  I gave her my life.  I pray that McCain will be her new Chief Steward come January.

Rules Of Engagement (ROEs)

Saturday, October 11th, 2008

You have probably heard The McCain talk about one of his very first votes in congress.  He voted against President Reagan over US Marines in Beirut. The vote failed 270-161 and The McCain, unfortunately, was proven right.

Not many people are aware of what was going on in Beirut in that time period.  I am aware.  I was there.

From August to December 1982 I was part of a US Navy task force that patrolled the coast off Beirut.  Day after day, week after week we watched the beautiful city of Beirut become decimated by war.

Just like the Marines that were stationed at the Beirut airport, we were operating in a War Zone with peace time Rules Of Engagement. Marines were not allowed to have magazines in their weapons and we were not allowed to point our gun at Syrian aircraft that were constantly threatening us.

As a direct result of those severely restrictive ROEs, a terrorist truck bomber was able to drive his bomb laden truck right into the barracks that the Marines were staying in. 241 Marines were killed in that attack. Think of the recent attack on the Marriott hotel in Islamabad only if the truck had managed to get into the lobby.

Had one of those Syrian aircraft fired a missile at us we would have taken massive casualties. We did not have the advanced anti-missile systems that are in place today. It would have been worse than the USS Stark (FFG 31) attack.

To be fair, I think there is legitimate debate about ROEs that are too loose. I keep in mind during that debate Leon Klinghoffer, Robert Dean Stethem, and 9-11-01 among other factors. We cannot stoop to the level of brutality of our enemies. If we do, we lose. We have to be able to keep claim of the moral high-ground.

Now. Here’s the thing. If Obama is elected president he becomes, by Constitutional default, the Commander-In-Chief of the US Armed Forces. We do not have the leisure to elect an Economy President and a War President. I am here to tell you, unequivocally, that if Barack Hussein Obama is the CinC he will tighten ROEs to the point that we will not be able to respond to attack until after we are dead. Our enemies will be buoyed by these tightened ROEs.

And if I am proven wrong I will eat my hat.

Here Come The British

Saturday, October 4th, 2008

Sir Nigel Sheinwald, Britain’s Ambassador in Washington, was last night thrust into political controversy after the leak to a newspaper of a seven-page candid assessment he delivered on Barack Obama.

It’s An Audacity Thing. You Wouldn’t Understand.

Wednesday, October 1st, 2008

Alcee Hastings, paragon of judicial prudence, said: “If Sarah Palin isn’t enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention. Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So, you just think this through.”

That’s an OnoDrama supporter.  How is this kind of talk supposed to demonstrate “change” and “hope”?

It’s pathetic.

O. Missouri.

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

“Obama campaign cracks down on misleading TV ads September 23rd, 2008

The Barack Obama campaign is asking Missouri law enforcement to target anyone who lies or runs a misleading TV ad during the presidential campaign.”

“On Wednesday, Obama’s Missouri campaign announced U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill would lead a group of Democratic lawmakers, prosecutors and one sheriff “who will be proactive in letting voters in the Show-Me State know the truth in the face of the distortions by the McCain campaign,” according to a news release.”

Did the good and decent people of Missouri elect Claire McCaskill to be a prosecutor or a representative in congress?

The wheels are falling off the bus and Claire McCaskill is in lock-step with Obama as she has been since day one.

Somehow I don’t believe Missourians had this in mind when they sent her to Washington.

People In Glass Houses…

Saturday, September 27th, 2008

“Billionaire Penny Pritzker helped run Hinsdale, Ill.-based Superior, overseeing her family’s 50% ownership stake. She now serves as Barack Obama’s national campaign-finance chairwoman, which means her banking past could prove to be an embarrassment to her — and perhaps to the campaign.

Superior was seized in 2001 and later closed by federal regulators. Government investigators and consumer advocates have contended that Superior engaged in unsound financial activities and predatory lending practices. Ms. Pritzker, a longtime friend and supporter of Sen. Obama, served for a time as Superior’s chairman, and later sat on the board of its holding company.

Sen. Obama has long criticized predatory subprime mortgage lenders and urged strong actions against them.”

Can You Spare Ten Minutes?

Friday, September 26th, 2008

Just ten minutes.  That’s all I ask.

I Agree With Obama

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

Obama stated that the reason he wasn’t going to follow The McCain’s lead and suspend campaigning for a couple of days is because “The president should be able to do more than one thing at a time.”

I agree with him.  The president should be able to multi-task; However, he is not the president.  He is the junior senator from Illinois.  As such, he should be joining the other 99 senators in Washington to hammer out legislation that will SAVE OUR ECONOMY.
